On the banks of the Orinoco River, there is one of the most beautiful lodges in the Delta region. From there you can enjoy the Amazon, miles of lush rain forest, hundreds of rivers and broad savannahs. It is one of the world's greatest wildernesses. Visit an Indian village and observe how they make baskets, hammocks and traps. Buy some Indian souvenirs in their market at Puerto Ayacucho. Explore the river and if you are lucky you might see dolphins and otters. Bask in the sun at the river beaches. This is a happy and peaceful trip.

ItineraryDay 1: The AmazonFrom the Puerto Ayachucho airport you will be transferred to one of the most beautiful lodges in the Delta region, situated on the banks of the Orinoco River about 20 minutes from the airport. After lunch take a walk to a splendid viewpoint of the Or more... Day 2: The AmazonToday, visit an Indian village where you will get to walk through the forest and see how the indigenous people work their land. Observe how the Indians make their baskets, hammocks and traps. In the afternoon, visit the "Tobogán de la Selva" or the more... Day 3: The AmazonEarly in the morning, after breakfast, take a boat trip downstream the Orinoco River and explore little creeks with abundant vegetation.
