Trip Highlights
Want to do a bit of rafting, mountain biking and see some of the most beautiful natural landscapes in the world ? Enjoy all this and more in just one trip to Barinas and Mérida States. Our expedition will begin in the River Acequias - a renown world class river to do whitewater rafting in Venezuela. Next day after visiting the Sinigui River for more white water rafting, we'll visit the ancient petroglyphs in the town of Bumbum. That night we'll stay at a camp near the Santo Domingo River where there's a climbing wall. Next day is time for canyoneering in El Chorerón in San Rafael! In the afternoon we'll also visit the picturesque town of Altamira de Cáceres. Now we are heading to Mérida State. There we'll visit the Gavidia Paramo and stay for the night in a cabin after a day full of activities. Next morning we'll go fishing trout to the Santo Cristo Lagoon. During our last day in Mérida, we'll visit Mucuchíes, the highest town in Venezuela, and the Condor Station: hopefully we'll be able to watch the largest bird in the world.
