Wake-up and depending on how you feel, weather conditions and travel companions preferences, choose between an easy or active expedition. These can vary between nature walks, treks and bike excursions.
Today consider driving across the Torres del Paine National Park, admiring the view of Paine Grande and its snowy peaks, and Los Cuernos with its black, granite horn-like spires. Walking along the shores of the stunning Lake Pehoe, see the furious Salto Grande waterfalls where the water from Lake Nordenskjold cascades down into Pehoe. The walk continues over the gentle Nordenskjold trail until until we reach its spectacular lookout point. Later, back at Lake Pehoe, we are driven south to a beach along the shores of glacial Lake Grey. Here we enjoy a tasty box-lunch by the lake before embarking on a boat ride across the icy waters to the towering blue walls of Glacier Grey. After this incredible sight of the glacier up close, we drive back to the camp. The tour departs at 9:30 AM and returns to the hotel at 8:00 PM.

After breakfast, get ready for another Patagonian adventure! We start our day driving towards Pudeto dock, located on the shores of Pehoe Lake (lago Pehoe). We board the catamaran that will take us to the north-western sector of the Lake where we’ll begin the challenging trek to Valle Frances (French Valley) along a steep trail that goes into the very heart of the Paine Massif. How deep we go depends on our groups’ rhythm - An active walk leads us to the hanging bridge over the French River, located at the foot of the south-eastern face of the Massif, where there is a truly wonderful view. Then we continue up the trail to the upper section of the valley where we admire the valley's entire group of geological formations: Hoja (Blade), Máscara (Mask), Espada (Sword), Catedral (Cathedral), Aleta de Tiburón (Shark’s Fin) and the magnificent Fortaleza (Fortress). Here we picnic and rest for a while. An optional trek to Mirador Britanico is available as well, if the group isn't keen on resting. Then, we descend through a rippling terrain of grassland and light forest until reaching the Refugio Paine Grande, located on the peaceful shores of Lake Pehoe. From here the catamaran takes us back to Pudeto and we're driven back to the hotel.

Take a taxi to the Santiago airport to take your flight to Calama (Atacama Desert). Upon arrival you will be transferred to San Pedro de Atacama. In the afternoon, take sometime to explore the town and think about the activities you want to do the following days. If you can, sign up for the Valle de la Luna excursion - the legendary moon valley surrounded by volcanic peaks that cascade as far as the eye can see. The large stone walls resemble those of the Grand Canyon in Arizona. Almost all tours include watching the sunset which you shouldn't miss! This can be done with any of the local operators in town.
An important thing to remember is that San Pedro lies at an average of 7,900 ft (2,407 meters) above sea level and visitors often experience mild altitude sickness (dizziness, lethargy and headaches). As for the climate, it is extremely dry and mild. Daytime temperatures range between 25-30 degrees Celsius (77-86°F) during the summer (December to February) and 18-25 degrees Celsius (64-77°F) during the winter (June to August). At night, the temperature can drop below zero and can reach as low as -10°C (14°F) in the winter.
Please note that recommended excursions in the Atacama Desert are not included in your package. Overnight at a comfort hotel.

Today we recommend doing one of the following tours:
1. Geysers del Tatio: in this tour you will see some of the highest geysers in the world! It's also the third-largest geyser site on Earth, with over 80 active ones. As the geysers are located at 4,200m above sea level please consider the following things: 1) Temperatures can be terribly cold (-5ºC -15ºC) so please prepare accordingly; 2)the altitude, coupled to a steep and winding road, can easily cause height-sickness.
2. Monjes de la Pacana (Pacana Monks): San Pedro's best-kept secret! It is well above 4,500m so consider it carefully. In this tour visit some peculiar stone formations, obsidian quarries, stone towers called 'Catedrales', and the huge Tara salt lake. The landscape is stunning!
Overnight at a comfort hotel.
