Stay in an Eco-lodge - with energy efficient and water conserving buildings. The buildings were constructed maximizing the use of local labor and materials, and the gardens landscaped to provide recreational outdoor areas for our guests alongside habitats for the local wildlife such as iguanas and birds.
Day 1: Caracas Airport - Ocumare de la Costa
From the Caracas Airport you will be transferred to Ocumare de la Costa (3-4 hours drive from Caracas). It is located in the north-central region of Venezuela in the Henrri Pittier National Park. It has plains and jungles and beautiful Caribbean beaches.
The Eco-Lodge is situated in the quiet fishing village. The eco-lodge can accomodate up to 76 guests in 24 air-conditioned rooms and 1 self-catering cabin. All rooms have full en-suite facilities and cable TV. Many of the rooms have private balconies with hammocks overlooking the sea or porches with deckchairs facing the garden or pool.
Services offered at the Eco-lodge include a restaurant, a roof top terrace.
Day 2: Ocumare de la Costa - La Cienega
Travel to the Coral Lagoon (La Cienaga) - a tranquil lagoon nestled along the beautiful cloud forests of Henri Pittier's National Park and the Caribbean coastline and spend the day snorkeling, scuba diving or kayaking at this unforgettable place. In La Cienaga’s coral reefs see colorful parrot fish, angel fish, trumpet fish, lobsters, squid and octopus amongst many others, not to mention many types of flourishing hard and particularly soft corals.
If you are an experienced diver, see some unique dive sites where the accented coastline hides underwater grottos and canyons waiting to be explored. Nearby there are also two locally renowned wrecks, the 'Carmen Fabiana', an impressive 10,000 ton freighter laying at 30 meters and the 'Gran Roque' a typical tug boat laying at 18 meters. If you don't want to go too far, you can simply take a "shore dive".
If you wish to explore the surrounding mangroves and the wildlife they sustain kayaks are also available for your use. Overnight at the Coral Lagoon Lodge.
NOTE: Diving equipment/excursion is not included in your package. This can be provided at an additional cost.
Day 3: Ocumare de la Costa
After breakfast, return to the Eco-Lodge. Enjoy the near by beaches. Overnight at the Eco-Lodge.
Day 4: Ocumare de la Costa - Caracas Airport
Early transfer to Caracas. END OF SERVICES.

Important Information:
Participants should be qualified divers with a recognized professional body such as PADI, BSAC, NAUI, etc. A certificate or C-card will need to be presented to dive operators on location.
Any dive packages booked through Turpial Travel, including specific diving courses, cannot be changed upon arrival at your destination.
There is no refund for any unused dives.
Please check with your travel assistant the equipment that is and is not included in your package.
It is the individual's responsibility to be medical fit to scuba dive in the conditions presented.
We recommend that a refresher is taken in a pool if you have not been diving in the last 6 months. We reserve the right to charge for a refresher should there be uncertainty regarding your ability and its impact upon safety and the underwater environment.
All regulations stipulated by the recognised diving authority (e.g PADI, BSAC, etc) and as part of your insurance, must be strictly adhered to.
Turpial Travel dos not schedule dives for the day prior to destination departure.
Diving programmes are subject to constraints of weather and other conditions. Dive itineraries need to be flexible to adapt to changes in diving sites or suspension of diving, for which no refund can be given.

How to Book?
I.I. BOOK ONLINE: Start by filling out YOUR TRIP COST section. Each itinerary has a trip price range. This section will allow you to quote an exact price by filling out Questions 1-4. The price will be determined by: the dates you choose to travel, the number of people traveling with you, and the type of service you require throughout your trip. After filling out Questions 1-4, you will choose between two options:
Option A - Book Now: If you agree with the price and you DO NOT need to make any changes to the itinerary and/or the departure dates, you will press the BOOK NOW button which will take you through a series of steps:
* Step 1: Enter your Details & Flight Information – Here you will have to fill out the passenger details, contact information and international flight information. If you still haven’t booked your international flight, no worries, the system will allow you to request a quote through us.
* Step 2: Pre/Post Hotels & Transfers in Caracas - Need extra nights in Caracas before or after your trip? If you do, you will need to fill out this section. If you don’t you will skip this section and proceed to Step 3.
* Step 3: Make a donation? – Turpial Travel is a member of several organizations that protect the environment, study endangered species and promote sustainable tourism. We work in partnership with Fundación AndígenA to forge a direct link between the economic benefits from tourism and the biodiversity protection. This section will allow you to make a donation to this caused if interested.
* Step 4: Is Everything Correct? Review your Booking Information – This section will confirm key information needed to proceed with your booking.
* Step 5: Payment Information – Last step! Here you proceed to pay and book your trip. Payment is processed through credit card only.
When filling out sections 1-5 you will received two emails from us. The first email will let you know that a personal account has been created for you. The account will allow you to interact with your assigned travel agent, update your profile, review trip details, and upload/download important pre-departure information. The email will also tell you the name of the Travel Assistant that has been assigned to you. The second email will confirm your payment once it has been processed.
We recommend using Option A since it was designed to save our clients time and money!
Option B - Personalize my Trip: If you need to adapt the itinerary to your specific needs (e.g. make changes to the itinerary and/or the pre-departure dates), you will fill out Questions 1-4 in “Your Trip Cost” section and press the PERSONALIZE MY TRIP button. Next, you will proceed to fill out some basic information needed to process your request. Once you submit this information, you will receive an email letting you know that your enquiry has been sent to the Department of Sales & Reservations and a Travel Assistant will contact you shortly.

On receipt of the payment, we will send you all necessary pre-departure information pertaining to your trip.
