In nearly all its bays and coves fans you can find hundreds of types of reefs, where marine life varies dramatically the deeper one descends. Extensive forests of coral of various sizes, shapes, and colors cover almost every inch of exposed rock in this underwater world.Most of these islands, beaches and coves can be best accessed from the city of Puerto La Cruz by boat services regularly scheduled in the ports near paseo Colón. Secluded coves and private beaches can also be reached by a combination of off-road vehicles and short walks.
Dive in the graceful land that captivated Christopher Columbus in his third voyage. It is the place he told his kings about because he drank sea water that tasted like honey!
The Mochima National Park lies between the towns of Puerto La Cruz and Cumaná. It covers 94.935 hectares of sea coast which include 53 islands/islets (of which some are still virgin) and mountains with exuberant vegetation which plunge into the sea.
The program includes 2 daily immersions, all of them guided by certified instructors.
Diving immersions range from 12 to 98.43 feet.
Day 1. Caracas - Mochima National Park
An assistant will be waiting for you at the Maiquetia airport to transfer you by car to Mochima National Park. Check-in at the Villa Majagual and enjoy the rest of the afternoon enjoying its facilities.
Villa Majagual is a beautiful property located on the private Majagual Peninsula, in the Mochima National Park. It is a perfect place for those who seek an environment that has both sea and exuberant tropical vegetation. Its impressive landscape has more than 700 meters of rocky private coast bordered by splendid coraline formations. If you are looking for a place to unwind and find peace and privacy from the stressful world, this is the right place for you.
The Villa has 12 rustic style cabins with private bathrooms, hot water, ceiling fans and individual terraces/balconies where coffee is served in the morning. The dining room has excellent views of the islands with constant sea breezes. Amenities include: swimming pool, beach with kayaks, paddle boats and snorkel equipment and sport fishing and boat transfers to remote beaches (arranged at additional costs).
When you are ready for dinner, head to the terrace below where fresh local ingredients cooked with great attention to detail will be waiting for you. ( - / L / D ).
Day 2. Mochima National Park
Head to Borracha Island, an island with numerous underwater caves to explore. If you do not feel like exploring cave, there are a few sunken vessels to explore in the Chimanas Grande Island and the Caracas Islands where you will find a diverse ecosystem rich in coralline reefs which today provide refuge and food to a great variety of fish such as swordfish, yellow fin tuna, black fin tuna, striped mullet and sea bass. In lower depths you can observe red snappers, groupers, grunt and sharks. The inlets are rich in crustaceans and mollusks. ( B / L / D ).
Day 3. Mochima National Park
Take another day to explore the waters or forest of the Park. You can go to another island, explore its coastal beaches or hike through its lush vegetation seeing the different species it has to offer. ( B / L / D ).
Day 4. Mochima National Park - Caracas
Check out time is at noon. Transfer to the Maiquetia airport or another destination upon request. ( B / - / - ).

Important Information:
Participants should be qualified divers with a recognised professional body such as PADI, BSAC, NAUI. etc. A certificate or C-card will need to be presented to dive operators on location.
Any dive packages booked through Turpial Travel, including specific diving courses, cannot be changed upon arrival at your destination.
There is no refund for any unused dives.
Equipment included are the hire of tanks, air fills and weight belts unless otherwise stated. The hire of further dive equipment will be at an additional charge.
It is the individuals responsibility to be medical fit to scuba dive in the conditions presented.
We recommend that a refresher is taken in a pool if you have not been diving in the last 6 months. We reserve the right to charge for a refresher should there be uncertainty regarding your ability and its impact upon safety and the underwater environment.
All regulations stipulated by the recognised diving authority (e.g PADI, BSAC, etc) and as part of your insurance, must be strictly adhered to.
Turpial Travel dos not schedule dives for the day prior to destination departure.
Diving programmes are subject to constraints of weather and other conditions. Dive itineraries, particularly in relation to liveaboards need to be flexible to adapt to changes in diving sites or suspension of diving, for which no refund can be given.
NOTES:
Trips extensions can be arrange for any of our tours at an additional cost.
Allow for USD 20 per day for meals not included and/or additional personal expenses.
How to Book?
I.I. BOOK ONLINE: Start by filling out YOUR TRIP COST section. Each itinerary has a trip price range. This section will allow you to quote an exact price by filling out Questions 1-4. The price will be determined by: the dates you choose to travel, the number of people traveling with you, and the type of service you require throughout your trip. After filling out Questions 1-4, you will choose between two options:
Option A - Book Now: If you agree with the price and you DO NOT need to make any changes to the itinerary and/or the departure dates, you will press the BOOK NOW button which will take you through a series of steps:
* Step 1: Enter your Details & Flight Information – Here you will have to fill out the passenger details, contact information and international flight information. If you still haven’t booked your international flight, no worries, the system will allow you to request a quote through us.
* Step 2: Pre/Post Hotels & Transfers in Caracas - Need extra nights in Caracas before or after your trip? If you do, you will need to fill out this section. If you don’t you will skip this section and proceed to Step 3.
* Step 3: Make a donation? – Turpial Travel is a member of several organizations that protect the environment, study endangered species and promote sustainable tourism. We work in partnership with Fundación AndígenA to forge a direct link between the economic benefits from tourism and the biodiversity protection. This section will allow you to make a donation to this caused if interested.

* Step 5: Payment Information – Last step! Here you proceed to pay and book your trip. Payment is processed through credit card only.
When filling out sections 1-5 you will received two emails from us. The first email will let you know that a personal account has been created for you. The account will allow you to interact with your assigned travel agent, update your profile, review trip details, and upload/download important pre-departure information. The email will also tell you the name of the Travel Assistant that has been assigned to you. The second email will confirm your payment once it has been processed.
We recommend using Option A since it was designed to save our clients time and money!
Option B - Personalize my Trip: If you need to adapt the itinerary to your specific needs (e.g. make changes to the itinerary and/or the pre-departure dates), you will fill out Questions 1-4 in “Your Trip Cost” section and press the PERSONALIZE MY TRIP button. Next, you will proceed to fill out some basic information needed to process your request. Once you submit this information, you will receive an email letting you know that your enquiry has been sent to the Department of Sales & Reservations and a Travel Assistant will contact you shortly.
