Diving in the Los Roques archipelago is the kind of diving once found in the Caribbean 20 years ago, yet almost non-existent today.
It is a paradise of secluded and, until now, unknown reefs, alive with the unfettered wilderness of nature.
Huge amounts of marine life, walls of soft corals and sea whips descend to more than 200 ft. through a kaleidoscope of tropical fish. Along the flanks of submerged mountains, snappers, groupers and jacks gaze while barracudas cruise in precise formation and stingrays lurk on the sandy bottom.
A wide variety of dive sites: shallow reefs, perpendicular drop-offs, pinnacles, caves that harbor sharks and crustaceans of every type, hide in cervices among forests of sponges, all sites reminiscent of everything from the Galapagos to Bonaire.
Los Roques indeed provides the most unique, remote and greatest of all Caribbean underwater adventures.
Day 1. Caracas – Los Roques National Park
Early in the morning and take a connecting flight (between 7:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.) from Maiquetía airport (Caracas) to El Gran Roque. At the Maiquetía airport and the main island, there will be a travel assistant waiting for you. He/she will answer all your questions, transfer you to your connecting flight and take you to your posada upon arrival in Los Roques. Take the rest of the morning to rest up from the long trip.
One dive. In the afternoon, get ready for your first diving excursion to either Franciski or Madriski keys (15 minutes away from the main island). In the evening, go back to your posada for dinner and a good night sleep. Overnight at Posada Pelicano. ( - / L / D ).
Days 2 & 3. Los Roques National Park
Two dives. Spend the day diving at any of the following locations of your liking (e.g. La Guaza, Piedra Ahogada, La Buceadora, Solapa de Rubisqui, etc.) Overnight at Posada Pelicano. ( B / L / D ).
Day 4: Los Roques National Park - Caracas
Travel to a key of your liking and spend the day lying on a white sandy beach, reading a book or just relaxing. If you feel like canoeing, kayaking, windsurfing or ultra light aircraft flights over the archipelago, it can be arranged at an extra cost. At 4:00 P.M. a boat will pick you up to take you back to the Gran Roque to catch your flight back to Caracas. Overnight at the Costa Real Suites. ( B / L / D ).
Day 5: Caracas
Early transfer to the airport to take your flight back home. ( B / - / - ).
At Los Roques we can offer different posadas (guest houses/hotels) to stay at.
1. “BASIC/STANDARD POSADA”: Price range: $
Services: Bed services, rooms with private bathroom (NOTE: No hot watter) and fan service, meals. Excursions: Madriski and Franciski.
2. “CONFORT POSADA”

Services: This Posada offers you national and international menus, bed services, rooms with private bathroom, air conditioner, meals.

3. “SUPERIOR POSADA”

Important Information:
Participants should be qualified divers with a recognised professional body such as PADI, BSAC, NAUI. etc. A certificate or C-card will need to be presented to dive operators on location.
Any dive packages booked through Turpial Travel, including specific diving courses, cannot be changed upon arrival at your destination.
There is no refund for any unused dives.
Equipment included are the hire of tanks, air fills and weight belts unless otherwise stated. The hire of further dive equipment will be at an additional charge.
It is the individuals responsibility to be medical fit to scuba dive in the conditions presented.
We recommend that a refresher is taken in a pool if you have not been diving in the last 6 months. We reserve the right to charge for a refresher should there be uncertainty regarding your ability and its impact upon safety and the underwater environment.
All regulations stipulated by the recognised diving authority (e.g PADI, BSAC, etc) and as part of your insurance, must be strictly adhered to.
Turpial Travel dos not schedule dives for the day prior to destination departure.
Diving programmes are subject to constraints of weather and other conditions. Dive itineraries, particularly in relation to liveaboards need to be flexible to adapt to changes in diving sites or suspension of diving, for which no refund can be given.

How to Book?
I.I. BOOK ONLINE: Start by filling out YOUR TRIP COST section. Each itinerary has a trip price range. This section will allow you to quote an exact price by filling out Questions 1-4. The price will be determined by: the dates you choose to travel, the number of people traveling with you, and the type of service you require throughout your trip. After filling out Questions 1-4, you will choose between two options:
Option A - Book Now: If you agree with the price and you DO NOT need to make any changes to the itinerary and/or the departure dates, you will press the BOOK NOW button which will take you through a series of steps:
* Step 1: Enter your Details & Flight Information – Here you will have to fill out the passenger details, contact information and international flight information. If you still haven’t booked your international flight, no worries, the system will allow you to request a quote through us.
* Step 2: Pre/Post Hotels & Transfers in Caracas - Need extra nights in Caracas before or after your trip? If you do, you will need to fill out this section. If you don’t you will skip this section and proceed to Step 3.
* Step 3: Make a donation? – Turpial Travel is a member of several organizations that protect the environment, study endangered species and promote sustainable tourism. We work in partnership with Fundación AndígenA to forge a direct link between the economic benefits from tourism and the biodiversity protection. This section will allow you to make a donation to this caused if interested.
* Step 4: Is Everything Correct? Review your Booking Information – This section will confirm key information needed to proceed with your booking.
* Step 5: Payment Information – Last step! Here you proceed to pay and book your trip. Payment is processed through credit card only.
When filling out sections 1-5 you will received two emails from us. The first email will let you know that a personal account has been created for you. The account will allow you to interact with your assigned travel agent, update your profile, review trip details, and upload/download important pre-departure information. The email will also tell you the name of the Travel Assistant that has been assigned to you. The second email will confirm your payment once it has been processed.
We recommend using Option A since it was designed to save our clients time and money!
Option B - Personalize my Trip: If you need to adapt the itinerary to your specific needs (e.g. make changes to the itinerary and/or the pre-departure dates), you will fill out Questions 1-4 in “Your Trip Cost” section and press the PERSONALIZE MY TRIP button. Next, you will proceed to fill out some basic information needed to process your request. Once you submit this information, you will receive an email letting you know that your enquiry has been sent to the Department of Sales & Reservations and a Travel Assistant will contact you shortly.

Upon receipt of your booking form, we will proceed to call you and confirm your information. If all is correct, you can purchase the tour by credit card or bank transfer. On receipt of the payment, we will send you all necessary pre-departure information pertaining to your trip.
