After you land on the Indian village of Kavac, at the foot of the Auyantepui, take a 20 minute walk through savannah and forest, until you reach a cave with a small creek. This is the deepest part of the river and guests are assisted in passing with a rope that reaches to the bottom of the cave, where you will find an impressive waterfall. From the vault of the cave there is a magnificent view of the sky as well as of the cascade enclosed within the rock walls. At Orchid Island (Isla Orquidea), the group will stop for a snack. After some refreshment, the journey continues until you reach “Isla Raton.” Upon arrival you will stop a minute at our shelter as we prepare to trek to the “Mirador Laime” (the nearest accessible point to Angel Falls), where you will enjoy a view of the spectacular Angel Falls. After taking pictures and hearing the roar of the water, return to the shelter to have lunch. After lunch, we begin our journey back to our camp in Canaima. Overnight at a lodge.

* Panteon Nacional: The remains of celebrated Venezuelans, including Simon Bolivar, are housed inside this building, where walls and ceilings display the most famous Venezuelan independence battle scenes.
* Plaza Bolivar: Four statues of women, one at each corner of this plaza named for Simon Bolivar, represent the four original republics of Gran Colombia: Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru.
* El Capitolio Nacional: Two neoclassical style buildings, the Legislative Palace and the Federal Palace, house Venezuela's National Congress, now called the National Assembly.
* Plaza de Altamira: Impressive fountains grace the entrance to the Altamira subway station, which is located in this popular square of Caracas.

OR
Visit the Caracas Teleférico at the El Avila National Park Tour. The Caracas teleférico takes you high up into the Ávila mountains. On clear days you get panoramic views and on others you're just surrounded by swirling clouds. Both are memorable. The flower-growing community of Galipán is a short walk from the terminus and you will find some excellent restaurants there, including our own favorite which we have no intention of naming as it is already hard enough to get a table. Take your camera and also a cardigan or anorak - it can get quite cold up there, a rare experience in Caracas.
Overnight at a hotel.
