Trip Reviews

It would be difficult to do any other style of trip after doing Caribbean and Guayana Deluxe . Instead of visiting a country I was able to experience it. The style of the trip was perfect and each day was a highlight.

Caribbean & Guayana Deluxe
From $3000.00 to $7000.00
Trip Highlights:
  • Some people are looking for something really different or want to take a special kind of trip — bird watching, diving, or a tour of the high points — that is simply VIP all the way. If this is what you are looking for, then this is your tour!
  • Visit the second largest national park in Venezuela, which astonishes visitors with the drama of its spectacular landscapes and biological diversity. Its signature landmarks are the tepuis, unique rock formations that rise up out of the surroundings to create huge ecological islands (the most famous, Roraima, inspired Conan Doyle's novel, The Lost World) punctured by waterfalls, including Angel Falls, the planet’s highest. In 1994, UNESCO declared Canaima National Park a World Heritage Site.
  • Be in the two of the most renown caribbean destinatios in Venezuela – Los Roques National Park and Isla Margarita.

Day 1. Caracas - Los Roques National Park

Meet your travel assistant at the Maiquetía airport in Caracas and he/she will welcome you to Venezuela, answer all your questions, and transfer you to your connecting flight to Los Roques National Park. Upon arrival at los Roques, you will be transferred to a sailboat. You will enjoy a dinner (a lobster dinner in the month of October and April) while watching a beautiful sunset in this Caribbean paradise! Overnight on board the sailboat. ( - / - / D)

Note: You need to arrive at Maiquetía airport before 12:00 pm. If you cannot be there before noon, Turpial Travel can make arrangements - at additional costs - to stay one night in a hotel of your preference close to the airport.

Day 2 & 3. Los Roques National Park

Spend the day sailing around the archipelago. Stop at spots of your choice to do some snorkeling and/or sunbathe. Overnight on board the sale boat. ( B / L / D )

Days 4 & 5. Los Roques – Margarita Island

Return to El Gran Roque. Take a flight at 7:30 A.M. to Margarita Island where you can gulf, take a jeef safari to the Macanao Peninsula and Copey national park or an full day excursion to Coche and Yemaya Island. Overnight at the Hesperia Isla Margarita. ( B / L / D )

Day 6. Isla Margarita - Canaima National Park

From Margarita Island take a flight at 8:30 A.M. to Canaima National Park - leaving the hotel at 5:30 A.M.. Stay at Wakü Lodge, where you will see the most amazing waterfalls from the hotel. If you wish, take a boat ride to see the “Hacha”, “Golondrina” and “Ucaima” Falls. When you arrive on the other side of the Lagoon, you will begin a 15 minute walk into the forest around the “Frog” and “Little Frog” Falls, tacking a path we arrive behind the Frog Fall and cross it, later to taking another path that will lead us to a higher part of the same fall, we can observe the majesty of the “Toad” and “Little Toad” Falls; returning later to the Camp.boat ride to get closer to the waterfalls and then walk right underneath Sapo Falls itself. Overnight at Wakü Lodge. ( B / L / D )

Day 7. Canaima - Kavac canyon and Angel Falls by helicopter

Explore Kavac, a beautiful canyon with clear waters and colorful rock carved out of Auyantepuy, the Angel Falls mountain. Leaving from “Canaima” Airport, take a helicopter to the “Kamarata Valley” zone, south-east of the “Auyan Tepuy”, where we land and visit the native village of “Kavac”. The autochthonous Indians will guide us into the deepest part of a cave, in which, there is a 100 meters high water fall, pouring into a pool more than 200 meters in depth, which has been formed by the river during millenniums. The excursion is done on foot amid small rivers, and wade in each pond or just rest on the stones. This trip has a duration of 2 hours. upon returning to the village we will barbeque lunch. Later, you have the opportunity to rest or take a long walker thourgh the village, to buy typical regional artisan items. we will then board the plane to return, with a little deviation to over-flight the “Angel Fall” and the “Auyan Tepuy” into the Devil Canyon and return to “Canaima”. Overnight at Wakü Lodge. ( B / L / D )

Day 8. Canaima: Tepuis by helicopter

Take a Charter from Canaima to Santa Elena de Uairen. Then hop over to the Quebrada de Jaspe, a beautiful waterfall which flows over red rocks. Fly back to Canaima. Overnight at Wakü Lodge. ( B / L / D )

I.             I. BOOK ONLINE: Start by filling out YOUR TRIP COST section. Each itinerary has a trip price range. This section will allow you to quote an exact price by filling out Questions 1-4. The price will be determined by: the dates you choose to travel, the number of people traveling with you, and the type of service you require throughout your trip. After filling out Questions 1-4, you will choose between two options:

Option A - Book Now: If you agree with the price and you DO NOT need to make any changes to the itinerary and/or the departure dates, you will press the BOOK NOW button which will take you through a series of steps:

* Step 1: Enter your Details & Flight Information – Here you will have to fill out the passenger details, contact information and international flight information. If you still haven’t booked your international flight, no worries, the system will allow you to request a quote through us.

* Step 2: Pre/Post Hotels & Transfers in Caracas - Need extra nights in Caracas before or after your trip? If you do, you will need to fill out this section. If you don’t you will skip this section and proceed to Step 3.

* Step 3: Make a donation? – Turpial Travel is a member of several organizations that protect the environment, study endangered species and promote sustainable tourism. We work in partnership with Fundación AndígenA to forge a direct link between the economic benefits from tourism and the biodiversity protection. This section will allow you to make a donation to this caused if interested.

* Step 4: Is Everything Correct?  Review your Booking Information – This section will confirm key information needed to proceed with your booking.

* Step 5: Payment Information – Last step! Here you proceed to pay and book your trip. Payment is processed through credit card only.

When filling out sections 1-5 you will received two emails from us. The first email will let you know that a personal account has been created for you.
