Day 1. Puerto Ayacucho
We pick you up at the Puerto Ayacucho airport and transfer you to one of the most beautiful lodges in the Delta region situated on the banks of the Orinoco River about 20 minutes from the airport. It is designed in a typical Indian style. After lunch we walk to a vantage point where we have a splendid view over the Orinoco River. ( - / - / D ) Day 2. Amazonas (Orinoco River) Visit an Indian village where you get to see its agriculture and medicine plants. Observe how Indians in the region make baskets, hammocks and traps. Walk through the forest where we might see the "24 hours ant" or even find a spider! In the afternoon, visit the "Tobogán de la Selva", a natural water slide with pools, is not a perfect place, but for sure is impressionist to see the Jacuzzis, which are huge holes in the stone, and where many Indians use to call it, “love places”. In the evening return to our lodge. ( B / L / D ) Day 3. Amazonas (Orinoco River) Early in the morning, after breakfast, take a boat trip downstream on the Orinoco and explore little creeks with abundant vegetation. If we are lucky, you might see fresh water dolphins and otters. There is time to swim and sunbathe on the beaches, which emerge during the dry season. ( B / L / D ) Day 4. Puerto Ayacucho After breakfast we drive to Puerto Ayacucho and visit the Indian market with lots of handicrafts! This will be a good opportunity to buy some souvenirs and help a little their local economy. We will also visit the Indian museum which has detailed information about different Indian tribes and their everyday life. After that we say goodbye to this wonderful voyage and we take you back to the airport. ( B / L / D ) Total Breakfast (B); Lunch (L); Dinner (D) B = 3 / L = 3 / D = 3
